Overview

Welcome to LiveLabs.co.uk - the site that provides Cisco remote labs on live equipment. This document will show you how to can connect to our equipment succesfully. You only need a PC with Internet connectivity that meets the requirements outlined in here

Note: Certain courses will require additional local equipment.


General Lab Access

You will be able to configure and control Cisco devices as if they were in the room with you.

The LiveLabs.co.uk website will give you full access to the Remote Live Labs equipment. Console access and clearing device console lines are available from the Remote Live Labs website.


Here is a diagram showing you how you will connect to the equipment:

Access the LiveLabs Remote Lab


On your local PC, start Internet Explorer and enter the following URL to access your remote lab equipment:

http://www.LiveLabs.co.uk


The following website will display:

Log in


Enter your login details on the left hand side or click on the Login menu option at the top of the page.

Your user name and password will be provided by LiveLabs.co.uk. Click the login button.

Connecting to Devices


Select your lab under the "My Labs" Menu

Example Lab Diagrams:

Devices in grey or black are not accessible because they are only important for the lab infrastructure or part of the core of the lab and therefore restricted to trainers or administrators.

All blue coloured devices can be accessed by clicking on them.

Clicking on a network device will start a console session with that device and a console window will be opened. You will have full control of the device as if the equipment were in the room with you.

Note: The connection via LiveLabs.co.uk is exactly the same as a local console connection directly to the equipment.

Note: If you are unable to access the equipment, the first step is to clear the lines of the device. Click the "Clear lines" menu.

Important:


To ensure smooth running of the labs, please note the following rules:

  • Only use the passwords given to you from the lab guides
  • Do not try to erase images or upgrade a device to another IOS version
